This is Thomas..

Chinese culture has always been an important aspect of my life. My mom raised me in San Francisco in hopes that I would gain a certain
respect for the culture and language. And it worked! Cantonese and my parent’s Taishan dialect in particular has interested me for some time. My mom inspired me to consider making Cantonese and Chinese culture an important part of my career.

Why make this Site?

While studying abroad in Hong Kong, China, I will document my daily adventures on my online blog. I hope to gain a better understanding of my own cultural values and widening my world-views at City University of Hong Kong. By chronicling my adventures abroad, you can follow my intercultural, personal, and social growth.
